Virtu achieves ‘Efficient Solutions Label' from Solar Impulse Foundation

“If an airplane has succeeded to fly day and night without fuel, then we can power our world on clean energy.”

— BERTRAND PICCARD

In 2016, Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, completed the first circumnavigation of the globe with no fuel. With their solar aircraft, Solar Impulse 2, a flying laboratory full of clean technologies, they flew 40,000 km to promote the use of renewable energies and energy efficiency on the ground, for a better quality of life. Across the Round-The-World flight, the team overcame technical, human and operational challenges that had never been faced before.

Following the success of the first solar flight around the world, Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation has launched the second phase of their action: selecting #1000solutions that can protect the environment in a profitable way, and bringing them to decision makers to help them adopt more ambitious environmental targets and energy policies.

Bertrand Piccard has always advocated that solving climate change – rather than an expensive problem – is a fantastic market opportunity. He actively speaks out against the absurdity of the outdated and polluting devices and systems we are still using and promotes the benefits of existing efficient technologies to motivate governments and industries to take action.

Naked Energy is thrilled that #Virtu has become one of the #1000solutions following a rigorous independent selection process.
